Day 14: Time for a Creativity Break!
Today I’m going to see Darkest Hour with my husband. I’m going to continue reading “Gilead” by Marilynne Robinson. And, I think I might be able to squeeze in an episode or two of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel after we cook dinner.
I’m cooking a new recipe today, too. It’s a roasted spaghetti squash salad, with gorgonzola cheese and spiced pecans.
Take some time to recharge your batteries however you prefer, too.
I found this video late last night. It’s beautiful and whimsical, and made my heart happy. Fantasia dei Gatti – Augustin Hadelich
If you like to read, there’s a great article on James Clear’s blog, https://jamesclear.com/quality-comparison, that greatly affected my outlook on how I’m approaching the start of this new business. It’s about dancer and choreographer Martha Graham’s philosophy on self-critique. It meant a lot to me to stumble across this (especially since it’s a quote about Action, and that’s my theme for the year). I’m glad to share it with all of you.
“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open.”
Hope your Sunday is wonderful!
