2018 ACTION Challenge Day 9

January18Goals_Day9

We’ve discussed many aspects of the logistics for your 2018 Content Strategy over the last few days. Today, we’ll talk about your team.

It’s Day 9 of the 2018 ACTION Challenge.

Today’s ACTION Step is: Recruit Your Support.

You’re going to make another list today, but this is a list of people. What people do you need in your life in order to help you create your content? You’ve started out with a win by working with me on your content strategy! Content strategists and marketing strategists are both good people to have on your team.

Do you need to find any photographers, writers, editors, videographers, or web designers? What kind of people do you need to seek out to create relationships with this year who can benefit your content strategy?

Who do you already know? As you add this section to your list, make sure that you’re taking notes on what you can offer to them in return. Are you going to pay for their services? Swap services? Think about what you can afford and what you really need to find a way to afford. (This will relate back to your goals from Day 1. Some of your content dreams might have to wait until you can afford to create them!) REMEMBER: If your time and skill set is valuable to you, the people you’ll want to align yourself to are those who also value their time and talents. Try to work with people at the prices that they’ve set, and you’ll see that people do the same for you.

“Collaboration is important not just because it’s a better way to learn. The spirit of collaboration is penetrating every institution and all of our lives. So learning to collaborate is part of equipping yourself for effectiveness, problem solving, innovation and life-long learning in an ever-changing networked economy.”
